WebMatrix is a free web development tool from Microsoft that includes everything you need for website development. Start from open source web applications, built-in web templates or just start writing code yourself. It’s all-inclusive, simple, and best of all, free.

At our October 15 meeting, Sarah Dutkiewicz (www.cletechconsulting.com - @sadukie) will show you some of the projects from the Web Gallery, including:

Then, we will look at creating a site from some of the included templates – including a bakery, calendar, and photo gallery project. Finally, we’ll look at creating a site from scratch.

While looking at these various projects, we’ll also take a look at other features in WebMatrix – site publishing, database support, code helpers, and SEO reports.
